I consider myself enormously privileged to be doing this work, particularly to have benefitted from training with Dilys and Walter Carrington; and in having established a very successful teaching practice thereafter. I offer that experience to other teachers in private lessons and I am also happy to work with two teachers at a time in hands-on group work.
I was trained by Dilys and Walter Carrington in the 1990s at the Carrington School - the
Constructive Teaching Centre in London. I trained between 1993 and 1997 and went on to train teachers at the School. Whilst doing so, I was asked by Dilys Carrington to be her apprentice and I spent two years assisting her with all her group work with first year students. I have been training teachers at the Carrington School ever since and am now a senior teacher.
I continue to feel very fortunate to carry on the work and bring Dilys and Walter Carrington's inspiration, not only to my pupils, but to other teachers with whom I work. I also run a very successful private practice here in Fleet, routinely giving 40+ lessons a week and am always happy to share that experience with other teachers.
As we progress our work as teachers, the experience of other hands can be enormously beneficial. My own background, training, long established practice and understanding of the Technique means I have a lot to offer other teachers in this respect and I am always delighted to welcome them to my practice in Fleet.
I am also told that visitors appreciate the relaxed and inspirational setting of my practice, particularly as it is so accessible - only 40 minutes on the train from London (and a very short walk from the station therafter), and close to major road transport links (details here).
If you are a teacher looking for that extra experience, then I would be delighted to hear from you.
